William “Bill” Thompson is an eleventh generation Bahamian with his families roots in Hope Town. Bill’s father Hartis had 6 brothers and 1 sister (Leonard, Chester, Roscoe, Maurice, Joe, Harvin & Velma) all born in Hope Town in the early 1900’s. The Thompson name is synonymous with the development of Abaco (Treasure Cay Hotel Resort & Golf Club and Great Abaco Beach Hotel & Marina), the Marsh Harbour International airport is named after his uncle Leonard and the airport site was picked by Bill’s father Hartis the former Director of Civil Aviation.
Born in Nassau, Bill spent every summer in Abaco from an early age and knew this piece of paradise was where he would spend his retirement years one day. After a 25 year career in aviation as a former airline pilot and airline management Bill moved with his wife attorney Ximena Thompson to Marsh Harbour in 1999 after hurricane Floyd devastated much of Abaco. Bill jumped right in and started a marine construction company with his cousin Chris and immediately started rebuilding all the private, resort and commercial docks and marinas around Abaco which were 95% destroyed. As the demand for real estate acquisition soared after hurricane Floyd, With a vast knowledge of Abaco and surrounding Cay’s Bill branched out into real estate in 2003 and has been a Broker with Abaco Real Estate Agency, Ltd. serving buyers and sellers for the past 18 years. Bill has helped hundreds of buyers find their piece of paradise here in Abaco with many of them becoming life long friends. If your buying or selling in Abaco, Bill is your go to guy.
Bill’s passions other than promoting real estate in Abaco is relaxing and spending time with family, close friends, playing golf, fishing/diving and gardening.

Kyle Stevens is a licensed Bahamas Real Estate Agent and Abaco Native. Raised on Green Turtle Cay and graduated from Forest Heights Academy in Marsh Harbour. Upon graduation he moved to the United States to pursue his educational goals at The University of Central Florida while there he received his Bachelors’ Degrees in Business and Finance.
